We believe that for the built environment to be sustainable, buildings must achieve a quality of construction and a quality of environment both internally and externally. We aim to create projects which are both responsible and responsive to their immediate context, regardless of scale, budget or brief. A-Zero Architects were part of the international competition winning team, led by renowned Irish architects O'Donnell + Tuomey to redesign the Central European University campus in Budapest, Hungary.
Our Quarry House project in Oxfordshire is due to start construction this month. We have been working with the very talented StudioFip to produce a number of renderings of the scheme. Very excited to see this turn into reality.
We recently finished a project in Surrey, which involved building a new residence on the footprint of an old chicken shed. Here are some photographs showing the asymmetrical glulam scissor trusses, and slatted larch cladding.
