For over 40 years, Coffey has been a leader in high-quality design and construction services in the building, environmental and civil engineering industries. Coffey is a diversified business and is currently involved in civil engineering construction, water and wastewater treatment, water supply metering, facilities management and property projects. We have a proud history of delivering projects on time, safely and within budget for our clients since 1974. We currently treat and supply 21.3 million litres of water per day (MLD) drinking water to a population equivalent of 85,000 people through existing DBO contracts.

Founded in 1974, Coffey is a family owned engineering-led Civil Engineering, Environmental and Building contracting group of companies (Coffey Construction Ltd, Coffey Construction (I) Ltd and Coffey Water Ltd). We operate in every major construction sector and we undertake work throughout the UK and Ireland. We are passionate about quality and efficiency, and this passion drives our belief in delivering projects with a directly-employed workforce. Coffey prides itself on delivering quality projects safely, on time and within budget.

From its establishment in 1974, Coffey Group quickly developed into one of the largest civil engineering and public works contractors in Ireland and, since 1988, has built a similar reputation across the UK. Our self-delivered, single contractor solution enables efficient delivery of projects and avoids interface disruption and materials wastage. We have developed strong relationships with local authorities and other statutory bodies across Ireland and the UK.

Coffey Group constructs in-situ reinforced concrete, precast concrete and structural steel structures across all sectors of the construction industry. Design innovation, off-site fabrication and a skilled workforce contribute to our success in delivering numerous high-quality structures. Our clients include highways agencies, local authorities, rail authorities, water utilities and private entities.

Odran Madden is a Chartered Engineer with over 20 years' experience in the construction industry and over 15 years' experience at management level undertaking civil engineering and building construction projects of varying scales, values and complexities. He has worked for Coffey since graduating in 2000. Odran has gained extensive knowledge and experience in water, wastewater, road, rail, energy and specialist engineering projects. His role is to ensure that all projects are completed safely, to a high standard, to our clients' satisfaction and that the project teams are provided with the necessary technical support and resources.
