HTA is a practice of around 200 architects, urbanists, planners, landscape architects, interior designers, sustainability specialists, graphic designers and researchers, with a focus on creating great residential places and a 50 year track record of the design and delivery of better housing. We have grown a practice which is unusual for focusing on the single sector of housing, but also in its breadth of design focus across all aspects of improving the design of housing and residential neighbourhoods.
Our integrated interior design service compliments our other in-house specialisms, bringing together cohesively the building design and end users. Our portfolio covers property marketing suites, commercial office space, residential buildings, extra-care buildings, build to rent developments and communal spaces, and works alongside architectural solutions designed for internal and external spaces. Our design solutions are based predominantly around how people will use the spaces we have designed, and for what specific type of activity or function happens there.
HTA's award winning planning consultancy team resolves complex planning issues in residential led projects of different scales; sometimes even where other parties have advised that planning permission is not possible. We tackle challenging projects by offering a bespoke planning consultancy service: we understand design, are residential development experts and we like to build up relationships with those we work with for the long term. We have a history of community engagement on our projects, expertise in sustainable and innovative design solutions and an excellent track record in working with complex stakeholder groups.
