Place-Make is an independent team of architects and urban designers based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire and operating across the UK and internationally. An RIBA Chartered Practice, our expertise spans from master planning, regeneration and strategy through to bespoke building and urban design. Central to our approach is a commitment to place-making and the underlying belief in creating integrated buildings and places that are planned, designed and implemented in a viable and sustainable manner. Place-Make Ltd is committed to a person's right to privacy and the security of personal information.
Our master planning experience extends across a range of developments of varying scale and intent - from single purpose developments such as residential extensions, Business Parks and tourist resorts to a complex mix of uses. As the planning, design and implementation of a master plan is often phased, the nature of our role is often tailored to meet the specific requirements of a project at a given time and extends from visioning and feasibility through to detail design. Often our involvement extends beyond the completion of the Master Plan to include the preparation of design guidelines, area action plans and even the design of a key building or typical typologies.
Central to every project is the intent to create bespoke buildings and spaces that respond to their context, reflect their time and can be implemented in a viable and sustainable manner. We work closely with our clients to best achieve their aspirations within the particular parameters for each project. Additionally, through consideration of a project from the perspective of both planner and designer, we are able to extract greater value from a site and the opportunity for new development. An RIBA Chartered Practice and a member of the Association of Consulting Architects (ACA); our architects are registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and regulated by the Architects Code of Practice.
