SRM Joinery & Construction was formed with the simple belief that quality should never be compromised which continues to be the fundamental drive behind all of our work. Based in North Yorkshire, SRM offer high quality architectural joinery to clients throughout the UK; providing a diverse portfolio of traditional homes and contemporary new builds.

Our team of skilled joiners are trade accredited and qualified, and have over 45 years experience between them. In an attempt to preserve the traditional practices, all of our team are trained in both modern and traditional techniques. Through our dedicated training programmes, we at SRM aim to further the preservation of the traditional skills and techniques we have accumulated and inherited ourselves, and teach them to the future generation of craftsmen. Like all of our work, the windows we build and fit are all made-to-measure in our workshop. We work with a variety of timbers, assisting you in picking from the several high quality materials we use, matching our professional finishes to your taste and preference. Our skilled joiners have the ability to template from existing windows, producing exact replicas but to a modern day standard meeting the relevant building regulations helping you towards creating a complete exterior makeover. Our staircase designs are all unique to the home owner. We can construct a variety of staircases, both contemporary, with sleek glass balustrades, and traditional hand-crafting each timber spindle. Either from an existing drawing, or from a client concept we can assist you from design through to fit, each stage offering the highest quality of customer care and build. SRM offers the finest traditional, contemporary and bespoke joinery. Our expertise can be found at each stage of the project, from designing and manufacturing through to installation and after care service. We offer full site Project Management of new builds and all other builds, taking on the responsibility of the planning, execution and signing off the project; utilising our own tradesmen to build your bespoke purpose made joinery elements that will be used throughout the build. Whether you want new doors throughout or to restore the character of your period property, SRM's skilled joiners can produce any type of door, internal or external, advising on the timber, finish and thermal properties. We can work with existing doors on listed buildings recreating the traditional essence of the door through modern joinery techniques, which ensures your doors still retain their traditional character but to a present day specification. Your doors will be made from the highest of quality materials, made-to-measure by our joiners in the workshop and then brought to site for an exacting fit.
