From the very earliest days of the practice, we have worked on the design of homes, from modest interiors through to large scale and complex projects with dozens - or even thousands - of dwellings. We've worked across a range of typologies, from masterplanning 3,000 homes at London's 2012 Olympic Village to the recently completed luxury apartments at Buckingham Green. It's tremendously satisfying to design places for people to live. As with all our work, we start with the people who are going inhabit our residential buildings and urban designs.

From our earliest days, interior design has been a foundation of the practice. Many of the projects we undertook in our formative years were interiors, helping organisations like advertising agencies, design studios and some of the first independent cinemas express their identity in their workspaces, and their retail and hospitality environments. Our Interior Design team describes their approach as 'practical dreaming' - it is rational and logical, imaginative and approachable. This dynamic team works closely with other design disciplines in the practice, including urban designers, architects, illustrators and graphic designers.

We have established the Fletcher Priest Architects Trust, a separate registered charity, to support architecture and architectural education in the UK. Projects supported by the trust include the UCL Bartlett International Lecture Series, financial bursaries for students to undertake their diploma studies, and the part-funding of post-graduate research. The practice provides financial assistance for a wonderful endeavour established by one of our talented architects. Let's Build My School works with underprivileged communities in Africa to design and construct schools from locally-sourced and sustainable materials, teaching construction skills to local communities in the process.
