Craftworks seeks to progress the relationship between the craft of building and the art of design within a unique form of practice. It is balanced between the roles of architect, developer and an in-house construction team. Such a synergic structure informs the approach to the work and aims to address the restrictive and conventional practice of architecture which is often compromised by the realms of the everyday contingent. The triptych form encompasses new roles of the architect, informed client and craft based builder whilst reigniting the possibilities and return of the 'master builder'.
