The Environmental Engineering group was conceived by the fundamental belief that environmental systems must be conceptualised in harmony with the architecture to support sustainable development. There are many aspects to the team's work including: MEPF engineering; Sustainable environmental design and analysis; Architectural lighting design; Vertical and horizontal transportation; Sustainable environmental masterplanning; Infrastructure engineering. We design integrated active building systems that focus on resource efficiency, environmental quality and resilience.

Carrying out a diverse range of work, the Industrial Design team frequently works as an integral part of the overall studio, designing specific building elements, but also developing products at a commercial and domestic scale in collaboration with industry partners such as, lighting products for Lumina and Louis Poulsen, furniture with Walter Knoll and Vitra, and nautical commissions for YachtPlus and other private clients. The team's complete range of projects can be found here. The Industrial design team works with leading lighting manufacturers including, Artemide, Lumina, and Fontana Arte.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we undertake. We audit all projects against global standards, while developing bespoke strategies that drive our environmental agenda. To build sustainably requires us to design holistically, and our unique integrated design approach enables us to develop innovative strategies that have a firm focus on the future of the environment. From within the practice, structural and environmental engineers, together with many other specialist design teams, work alongside the architects to develop fully integrated design solutions.

Fabulous offices, with many talented young Architects! Even the library was impressive.

In helping to design the airport at San Salvador Atenco Foster and partners have become complicit in the murder, rape, brutality, illegal imprisonment and Oppression of the those who own the land and have farmed it for generations. A huge shame that a great British compan is involved on such a barbaric land grab for the sake of profit.

Amazing architecture office, one can only dream of working and feel the great energy it comes from the place! Such amazing works are being done there! Congratulations to all for your hard work!
