Amorphous ribbon technology is already established in hundreds of thousands of underfloor heating projects globally. With most installations, the heat mats do not require embedding in a screed - a further saving in running costs, installation time and floor build-up. Accolade's standard Thermostats have a touch sensitive panel built into its glass face - and will retain its appearance for years! This thermostat provides economical and sophisticated control of underfloor heating and can be easily programmed to provide the perfect heating schedule. For those who wish to integrate underfloor heating into a Smart Home control system, we provide the Accolade SMARTstat.

By laying insulation material between the floor and the Amorphous Ribbon heating mats, the heat generated by the system is forced upwards through the floor covering. This ensures the rooms ambient temperature is reached quicker and more efficiently, thus reducing "on" time, and providing considerable savings on energy costs. Accolade's flexible insulation is 6mm thick and constructed from cross-linked, closed-cell polyethylene foam. This provides excellent physical and mechanical characteristics and is ideal for use where carpet, laminate, wood or engineered board will be laid above the Amorphous Ribbon system.
