Units are supplied in either single or twin coil designs, where LT and HT circuits are installed one above the other. Complementing its range of external rotor design 'sealed for life motor' assemblies Guntner have a range of high temperature fans for use with HT circuits, or equally units can be inverted for forced air discharge.

As with the condensers, our dry air coolers are finned heat exchangers. Used to reject heat from air conditioning plant chillers, water cooled variable refrigerant flow units, combined heat power installation, engines, Versatemp air conditioning equipment and a variety of other applications, they cool the water/glycol mix in a closed circuit by passing ambient air over the finned surfaces. Dry Air Coolers are mainly used in lieu of wet systems i.e. as a replacement to cooling towers. With power consumption now a primary considering more dry coolers are being used for free cooling, to provide all or partial cooling in lieu of refrigeration plant in low ambient conditions.

These remote air cooled condensers are used to reject heat from compressors or Chillers in applications where space is restricted and package equipment cannot be used. Our refrigerant condensers act to complete the Chiller package to be more adaptable to the restrictions on site. Units come in a variety of sizes and styles with their main objective being for low noise and space restricting applications. Typically, axial fans are installed for external applications while our centrifugal fan condensers are used for internal applications with allowances for between 100 Pa and 250 Pa of external static pressure to compensate for losses in duct work, silencers, or any other 3rd party accessories.

Guntner free cooling units give the opportunity to reduce power consumption and CO2 emissions by substituting chillers systems or similar in low ambient conditions. A number of clients now utilise the product, where depending on the design parameters, can see the primary cooling plant switched off for up to four months. Equally when heat rejection can not be done exclusively by the cooler, and the primary cooling plant is switched on, the cooler can still contribute to reducing the compressor run hours by providing partial cooling with the chiller 'trimming' the temperature to the desired leaving water temperature.
