The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps is the UK's premier trade association for professional chimney sweeps. The Guild was established over 25 years ago with training, standards and member co-operation at its heart. All our members are well trained and many are out and out experts. Promoting safety and efficient use of fires and fuels is our main concern for consumers. Providing the best business tools and support for our members helps them provide the best services to their customers. We ensure robust training, mentoring and assessment standards for new sweeps.

The importance of a well-trained, professional sweep cannot be overstated. The safety of our customers, their families and their property can be greatly increased by using a Guild member for chimney sweeping, solid fuel servicing and advice. Lawson entered the chimney sweeping profession in 2000. He joined the Guild as he felt the organisation had the most expert members and these were the people he wished to associate with. By 2007, Lawson realised that both the Guild and the industry required real change, which could only be achieved by taking a more active role.
The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps offers a conciliation service in respect of customer complaints against our members. Our role in this conciliation service is to attempt to bring about a mutually agreeable conclusion to any issues that may have arisen between you, the customer and one of our member sweeps. There are comprehensive stages involved in our customer complaints policy and each stage is an important part of the process in achieving a successful outcome for all parties and so must be followed.
The training is very detailed and thorough, there are also many additional courses to continue learning. The directors have always been very supportive and forward thinking. Proud to be a member since 2013.
The Guild is a friendly organisation, I have enjoyed being a member from day one (2011), best thing I ever did, professiona l and helpful.
As a new member to the guild I have found it to be the most forward thinking association that has helped me learn and market my business. I am proud to be a member and urge anyone to book a sweep through them as your getting the best trained sweeps in the industry.
