Air source heat pumps (ASHPs) absorb heat from the outside air. This heat can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor heating systems, or warm air convectors and hot water in your home. Different from a ground source heat pump, an air source heat pump extracts heat from the outside air in the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside. Heat pumps have some impact on the environment as they need electricity to run, but the heat they extract from the ground, air, or water is constantly being renewed naturally.
Modern offices are efficiently sealed so there is no natural ventilation and therefore mechanical ventilation is recommended for the comfort of the occupants. Temperature control is essential to provide an efficient working environment, and fresh air should be introduced to keep occupants refreshed, healthy and alert. Our expertise extends to all types of air conditioning equipment, from large duty chilled water systems to single split room air conditioners. We are able to provide system schematics, BMS integration, specifications and system selection for the leading brands within this market.
Boilers become less efficient as they age; if your boiler is over ten years old, you may be wasting hundreds of pounds in fuel bills. New boiler models also tend to be more efficient in general, and have lower carbon emissions to make them more environmentally friendly. If you'd like to help save the planet (and your wallet), a new boiler may be the right choice for you. We ensure that all the systems that we install are as efficient as possible so when you replace your old boiler you should see this reflected in your gas bill.
As a direct result of our experience diversity in all aspects of equipment design and installation we are able to offer an impressive management capability in this field. We have in place key personnel well used to controlling complex projects whatever their scale or dimension. CLS Technicians are approved by all the leading HVACR manufacturers. Full service reports are logged with both the customer and CLS's service department ensuring future performance is consistent and warranty cover is maintained.
Ducting system alterations can include changes or modifications to a commercial office environment to suit a new use, ie. Sub dividing an open plan room into smaller offices and meeting rooms which requires a change in air flow rates or repositioning of air vents. Data centres and server rooms require consistent environmental and climate control, with security monitoring and fire protection also factored in. Our custom built ventilation systems can accommodate your specific requirements down to incremental temperature, specialised fume extraction and humidity levels.
Without an effective environmental and water hygiene service you may experience the proliferation of pathogenic micro-organisms such as Legionella in water systems and other stored supplies. Other potential problems include water cleanliness and water quality. The HSE's Approved Code of Practice (ACOP L8), requires a written down legionella risk assessment for all commercial buildings with a water supply and employing 5 or more people. If you are the person on whom this statutory duty falls, you are required to have ‘access to competent help in assessing the risks'.
