We are an established refrigeration company specialising in both design & build projects both in the UK & overseas. We continue to grow even within this hard market place with the majority of our orders coming not from hard advertising but from an established client base & through recommendations. We have at this present time an active office in Kenya & are in the process of setting up an additional manufacting base for our HHC coolers in India.
Even in these early days the company built its own cold rooms and freezers and was one of the first to use composite panels which are common place today. Prior to the formation of IMA Cooling Systems in 1989, the company had begun to diversify and found itself heavily involved in fresh produce refrigeration during which time our range of High Humidity Coolers (HHC) were developed with sizes ranging from 12kW to 130kW. The early success of the High Humidity Cooler was in the mushroom growing industry whereby virtually every mushroom farm in England and Ireland had High Humidity Cold Stores.
Our expertise based on 30 years in the refrigeration industry and more than a decade specializing in horticulture & food industries, means that we can supply a wide range of services from a small Grower's cold-room to the most technically advanced Pre-cooling, Cold storage and Packing Complex. IMA's ground breaking 2.1 million Hatfield facility, has set new standards in what is possible in both size and scope in the refrigeration.
