The average person in the UK spends 90% of their time indoors, with 70% being within the home. Yet, at the risk of inadequate ventilation, homes are being made as airtight as possible in order to keep down heating bills through the retention of warm air. The air changes within care homes and sheltered buildings will depend upon which areas of the building occupants are located at a particular time, with individual rooms naturally requiring lower air changes than communal areas. Effective ventilation is best provided by reducing air leakage, extracting moisture and pollutants at source, and providing occupant controllable ventilation.

We provide a comprehensive range of commercial and industrial ventilation products directly from stock, as well as larger standard and specialist products ranging from ATEX requirements and car park ventilation. During the heating season, rising heat results in thermal stratification, making the ceiling quite warm. As a result, the entire space must be overheated in order to maintain comfortable temperatures at floor level. Demand Control Ventilation or DCV, is a technological innovation that provides an effective, efficient means of using variable speed ventilation solutions to meet variable occupancy levels in spaces requiring ventilation.

Our range of commercial ventilation can provide the required number of air exchanges, remove solar, electrical and occupancy heat gain, and prevent the build up of CO2, odours, dust, bacteria, solvents and fumes.

Elta Fans has operational facilities in the United Kingdom, South Africa, India, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand giving us a global understanding of the HVAC industry and the wide variety of applications that our products are used in around the world. We have over 25 distribution partners on 5 different continents. Our strong relationship with these partners allows us to ensure that no matter the route our products take, they are always in good hands and delivered to our customers in the same condition they left our factory.

Our rolling machines are designed with a four roller system to reduce common 'flat spots' on circular rolled casings, which means consistent accuracy on casing diameters, coupled with a casing ejection system to handle even the largest and heaviest casings with ease. Elta Fans' processes and procedures in welding are designed around a cardinal discipline to provide consistently straight welds on axial fan casings. Through automated welding procedures, equipment is designed to ensure casing joints achieve the required weld penetration, whilst eliminating potential flange splitting in subsequent manufacturing processes.

The premises are expanded to 800m2 to keep pace with production requirements; sub-contracted sheet metal work is brought in-house. The Centraflow range of in-line, centrifugal fans - designed to prevent stalling in high winds - is launched for offshore applications. Following intensive development and investment, Elta Fans' first axial impeller is launched, providing Elta Fans with the ability to fully- manufacture a highly-competitive, axial fan unit. The product is shipped around the world, including to South Africa, Australia and the USA.
