At Airedale, we believe that air conditioning has a critical role to play in an increasingly connected world. We also passionately believe that air conditioning equipment must play a responsible role in an era where sustainability is key to the preservation of our planet. Formed in 1974, Airedale International Air Conditioning is a world leader in the design and manufacture of innovative, high efficiency thermal management solutions. With over 45 years' experience, we provide complete cooling solutions that encompass precision air conditioning, IT cooling systems, chillers, condensers/dry coolers and air handling units.
Air conditioning as an industry rightfully comes under pressure due to the refrigerant gases we use in our products. The unique properties of these gases mean they can absorb and reject heat easily and therefore be used to provide temperature management, not just for people, but for equipment that help the world function. There are life-saving and game-changing technologies in our day-to-day lives that require refrigeration and air conditioning to enable them to function properly, for example, hospital and laboratory equipment, and data centres.
The largest power draw on any cooling system is the compressor. Even slight reductions in compressor running time, operating capacity or operating conditions can have significant effects on the power consumption of the system. Free cooling is the process of using external ambient temperature to reject heat, rather than using the refrigeration process. If used within an optimised system, free cooling can provide significant energy savings. It can take effect when the difference between the outside supply and return temperatures is as little as 1°C.
At Airedale, we believe that energy efficiency should be driven, not by legislation, but by a genuine will to reduce air conditioning's cost to our customers and the environment. At Airedale, we passionately believe that air conditioning manufacturers and equipment must play a responsible role in an era where sustainability is key to the preservation of our planet. As the global deployment of air conditioning increases, the industry must do a lot more to ensure the products and solutions we supply are as energy efficient as possible in order to play our part in combatting climate change.
Airedale have a wealth of experience in end-user applications where HVAC is a critical part of day-to-day operations.
