GJD was established in 1983. Our first production was a small internal PIR, along with an external PIR housed in a modified car's rear fog lamp housing along with a lighting control box. GJD exhibited at the first IFSEC exhibition at Olympia, London in 1987, where our first generation of external OPAL PIRs and extensive Minipassive internal PIR range was launched. GJD also launched the advanced Elite PIR by prioritising the supply of external PIR's to the blossoming CCTV market. By 1991, GJD was recognised as the market leader in security systems.
