EFT Systems

The Group consists of EFT Systems, EFT Construction and EFT Electrical, a combination of businesses that provides a unique partnership to Build, Protect and Maintain our Client's Property, Life Safety and security assets. EFT Systems formed in 1974, as an integrated security manufacturer, designer, installer and maintainer across the North West has seen a rapid transition in recent Years. Building on a mature Client base, still retained into our 5th Decade. EFT Systems has become one of the leading providers of Life Safety and Security Systems across the UK.

Building Extensions and refurbishments often require work to be carried out whilst buildings are open for business. This might include public buildings such as Schools, Universities or Libraries for example. EFT Construction understand the complexities of building extensions with such constraints. Our teams understand how to overcome these, with safety, our number one priority.

EFT Systems design, install, commission and maintain many different electrical based systems for installation in both a home environment and also industrial & commercial environments. EFT are approved contractors with the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors) and are able to undertake all electrical work from small additions and alterations to full system design and installation. Specialising in intelligent building solutions, our integrated systems might include home lighting control, heating and ventilation control, home audio, home cinema, security systems including intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems.

EFT Systems are an experienced installer and maintainer of all types of powered gates and barriers. We conform to the DHF Code of Practice for the Design, Manufacture, Installation and Maintenance of Powered Gates and Traffic Barriers. Powered gates and traffic barriers are classified as machinery under the EU Machinery Directive. Once a gate or barrier is brought into use, any failings of the gate or barrier that cause or could cause injury to an individual can be prosecuted under UK criminal law.

An effective Automatic Door system is a core requirement for the security of a multi-occupied building. This might be a commercial building where for security reasons the control of visitors is a key security requirement. Automatic doors might include sliding, swing, folding and revolving. EFT Systems offers standards of safety, quality, reliability and after-sales service as an assurance to both specifiers and users.

EFT Systems are an experienced installer and maintainer of both analogue and digital CCTV systems. We are an NSI Gold approved security specialist in accordance with BS EN 501327:1996 in addition to National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation (NICEIC) and National Security Inspectorate (NACOSS) for commissioning works. BS EN 501327 is the procedure for implementing a CCTV system. This includes risk assessment, considering threats, likelihood and impact. Then an Operational Requirement (OR) formally records the justifications and purpose of CCTV, along with a site survey.

A key Client benefit in the delivery of both our Systems and Construction related projects is our internal 'Electrical Division'. Managed as an internal business within EFT Systems, we have dedicated Electrical Designers and Engineers providing 'Project' support a well as delivering stand-alone Electrical Projects and Electrical Maintenance. EFT ensure that all works are supervised by in house electricians qualified with a City and Guilds 2391 Certificate. Engineers are also responsible for carrying our all inspection and testing fully in accordance with BS 7671:2018 17th edition and for providing appropriate certificates complete with all test result schedules.
