Founded in 1970 and introducng the first "Hands Free" door access control system to the market, Mastiff is proud that 2020 is its' 50th year in the security industry. The chief engineer behind the first system kept English Mastiff dogs. Mastiff as the Company name formed from the acronym "Modular Automated Systems To Identify Friend from Foe". This phrase may seem outdated now but in the days of the "Man From Uncle" TV programs it was state of the art! Since 1970, Mastiff has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience on security products which we use to provide solutions to customer's requirements.
Established as a Research Company in 1970, Mastiff designed and manufactured one of the first "Hands Free" pocket radio transmitter door access control systems. Although our research and manufacturing came to an end in the 1980s, we now use our knowledge of technology and the industry to provide ACCESS CONTROL, ID CARD and CCTV solutions to commercial and public bodies of all types and sizes.
