If you're looking for a different kind of roofing company, one that will offer the best advice and help you make decisions that will protect your property without stressing you out, then congratulations, you're in the right place! Your home or business premises is most probably the biggest investment you have. You've got to keep it protected. As you know the Scottish weather can be ruthless and we can help you safeguard your property from the elements. Just had work done with Rooftec. They replaced our leaking gutters and down pipes.
We are passionate about roofs and will go the extra mile to make your experience with Rooftec (Scotland) Ltd a fantastic one, but don't just take our word for it, see what our customers have to say for yourself. So, for all your roofing needs for your home or business in Falkirk, Edinburgh, Stirling, Glasgow, Perth or Fife give us a call - we would love to hear from you. We are approved members of The National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC- membership number 7940), they have checked us out, vetted our work and given us their seal of approval so you know you can trust us to do a great job every time.
This means your pitched roof materials are no longer limited to the slate nearby but can instead be chosen based on your needs or preferences. The good news for you is that we are experts in both traditional slating techniques and the more modern concrete tiles. Whether you have a roof leak, broken roof tiles, a slipped slate, blocked or leaking gutters or require a full new roof system you have come to the right place, we have the specialist knowledge to find a solution to your roofing problem.
With over 25 years experience in the roofing industry we have accumulated rich technical expertise in dealing with every roofing dilemma imaginable. From full commercial and domestic roof installations, repairs and maintenance. We specialise in pitched roofs, flat roofs and are experts in lead work. And if you need a new roof altogether, our roofing services cover a range of types including slate roofing and tile roofing. Rooftec prides itself on offering excellent workmanship and a high quality service at competitive rates.
Roof tiles became more popular as the slate production slowed, there are many on the market today ranging from Traditional Clay Pantiles, Plain Tiles to Concrete Interlocking Tiles. All are available in various colours, styles, profiles and finishes but which should you choose? We work with the leading tile providers such as Redland (in fact we are Redland Select Approved Installers), Marley, Russell and Sandtoft so can provide expert advice on what tile will suit your property best. We stripped and fully replaced this roof, it was required as the roof had become nail sick and the tiles had delaminated.
It doesn't matter if you're using a bitumin built up felt roofing system, a modern single ply Membrane or a traditional lead roof, if they are poorly fitted your flat roof will live up to it's old name and let you down, sometimes damaging your property or prized possessions along the way. The preparation work is the key to achieve a great flat roof that lasts and this begins with choosing the best materials for the job. Roofs don't work as one size fits all service. Your roof will be different from the next, for some an overlay could be appropriate or for others a full strip and relay will be required.
If you think that's only for those who live in the countryside, think again. With developments in roofing products and the urge to be more eco conscious you could create the countryside feeling almost wherever you live with a green roof. There are many benefits in having a green roof, not to mention a gold star from local planners as they often look on proposals of these types favourably and a green roof could help secure successful planning applications. As well as being pleasing on the eye, green roofs help to promote better air quality and provide new habitats for local wildlife.
It is essential that all lead work is carried out to Lead Sheet Association (LSA) Standard and by choosing us you are guaranteed of that. Building on the wealth of experience we have our skills have been endorsed by Angus College who run Lead Welding and Bossing Courses on behalf of the LSA. Full trough gutter welded using Code 6 Lead with T-Pren expansion joints, which are vital. If the joints were omitted and the lead laid in one full piece it would crack and allow water ingress. This illustrates how we created this lead details to cover the area where the roof stopped short to accommodate the window.
Slating is one of the oldest traditional trades that is still around today but it takes knowledge, skill and experience to carry it off. This is a craft that not just any "roofer" can master. But we have. Whether your slate roof belongs to the Scotch, Welsh, Spanish or Westmorland quarries, you're in luck because we've got it covered. With a slated roof, especially in older buildings, before any replacement or repair work is carried out it is vital to establish if your building is Listed or falls within a conservation area.
