CRESS ALARMS was formed in May 1981 by Derek and Jean Cresswell. Derek served an electrical apprenticeship before joining Chubb Alarms in 1970. During his tme at Chubb he worked as an installation and service engineer, surveyor and security advisor. Derek also worked in the middle east on major bank projects, overseeing the installation of intruder alarms, door access and CCTV. In 1982 Michael Whitehouse joined Cress Alarms after serving an apprenticeship at Yale Security. Dereks son James Cresswell entered the Company at the age of 18 in 2003 and trained under Dereks tuition, enhancing the companies futute outlook.
