Our Mission is to carry out Roofing, Waterproofing and Cladding contracts, using the best and technically most appropriate products in order to give our customers the best value in accordance with their budgetary and performance requirements.
William Briggs established his own roofing company in Arbroath in 1865, he founded an asphalt works in the same year and was appointed agent for the original Limmer and Trinidad Lake Asphalt Company. He steadily expanded the business based on technical expertise and service to the customer and in 1900 William Briggs and Sons Ltd was registered as a limited company. Since then BriggsAmasco continues to grow and look to the future based on the tradition of technical expertise and customer service.
Made up of a mixture of asphaltic cement which consists of bitumen asphalt or lake asphalt, polymers, crushed limestone, crushed coarse aggregate, pigments, binders, modifiers and special aggregates. It can easily be worked around pipes, roof lights, and other projections, where the craft skills of a mastic asphalt spreader make use of the flowing characteristics of the material to guide it around penetrations and along upstands. Flexiphalte can be delivered in block form for melting on site or alternatively where fast track installation is required, it can be delivered from the factory to the site by ‘hot charge' for instant installation.
BriggsAmasco offers products and systems to generate inexpensive green electricity from the sun. Working in partnership with architects, specifiers, contractors and end clients - BriggsAmasco has a range of solutions for flat roof applications. Our roofing membranes are fully compatible with a wide range of solar panels; we always have the right membrane for the right panel. As an experienced waterproofing roofing and solar specialist, BriggsAmasco will work with clients to advise on the right system for each project - offering advice and technical assistance from initial enquiry to final installation - and commissioning.
The Flexiphalte system can be expected to provide many years of trouble-free service and is designed to avoid the requirement for regular maintenance as far as possible. However, general vehicle deck maintenance is essential to obtain the maximum performance and ensure the longest life expectancy for the surfacing system; this must be carried out by BriggsAmasco limited every 5 years from Practical Completion of the Project. It should be noted that this inspection regime is integral to the guarantee offer for the project and that any deficiencies must be reported immediately to Briggs Amasco Limited.
