Our team consists of Directors, Management, Designers, Technicians and Trainees with over 50 years combined experience in Fire safety and security systems. We are an investor in people, with regular in house and manufacturer led training sessions. We provide full fire risk assessments for our clients and can tailor our innovative fire systems to meet your individual needs. We are also proud to hold both BAFE SP203-1 and Kitemark for fire alarm design, installation, commissioning and maintenance.
Since our incorporation in 2007, we have grown consistently as a company; forging relationships with some of the leading manufacturers of fire and security products in the United kingdom. Such partnerships mean, that along with our in house training, all our engineers are regularly trained and examined by the manufacturers and other outside organisations. Our team consists of Directors, Management, Designers, Technicians and Trainees with over 50 years combined experience in Fire safety and security systems.
If you have five or more full-time employees, then by law you must conduct, record and regularly review a fire risk assessment. The risk assessment could, among other things, identify a need for a fire alarm system, fire extinguishers and emergency lighting. With this emphasis on 'competent' persons attaining even greater prominence in the new regulatory reform fire safety order, the benefits of third-party certification are widely recognised by many involved in the fire protection process including enforcement authorities, insurers and government.
Nationwide are proud to hold the highest of accreditations within the industry from the SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board) and BSI (British standards institution) both of these are inspectorate bodies not just memberships, which means that our installations and maintenance records are regularly inspected and assessed against the latest standards. Due to our large volume of contracts, we tend to keep a large amount of fire & security equipment in stock, ensuring that not only will we respond rapidly to a problem with your system, in most cases we will aim to have the problem fixed there and then without 'nipping out for some parts' leaving you stranded with no cover.
Nationwide partner with industry leading manufacturers to ensure the best quality solution for all their clients. From single to multi site applications, with local or HQ control, ranging from single door entry audio or video systems, to multi door/occupancy systems-IP and software database solutions. Integrated Systems, where a degree of inter operation between access, fire, cctv, and intruder are now considered essential in the operation and maintenance of new design and old buildings alike. Integrated solutions bring together a wide range of specialist technologies, capable of being managed as one, simplyfying operation for our clients and, in many cases, saving them time and money on training and equipment.
New advances in artificial intelligence, combined with much higher broadband capacity have completely changed the CCTV market in the last few years. With the advent of the Internet of things, CCTV has moved away from a tool to identify an incident in retrospect, to one part of an integrated approach to fire and security systems which allows a much more rapid and informed response to crisis. IP network cameras offer superior images for precise, accurate information. Cost savings can be made as only one cable is required for video and power (power over internet POE ) negating the need for power outlets at the camera locations.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (2005) and health and safety legislation state that it is a legal requirement for all commercial properties to be a safe environment at all times, even when the mains fail. Emergency lighting is required to operate fully automatically and give illumination of a sufficiently high level to enable all occupants to evacuate the premises safely, to provide guidance to the most effective exit by using safety signs that are visible at every stage of the escape route and to illuminate the route to ensure rapid egress avoiding obstacles.
According to The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, most non domestic premises require at least two class A fire extinguishers ( such as Foam or water ) on every storey of your building ( or one if the premises is very small and one more would hinder escape). Most buildings with electrical equipment require 2 CO2 fire extinguishers, the size of which is dependant upon the their electrical (voltage) rating. During a fire risk assessment our surveyor will identify other areas which may require specific fire extinguishers - for example, a wet chemical fire extinguisher and/or kitchen fire suppression system could be required in a kitchen with a deep fat fryer.
Whether you are considering an Intruder Alarm System for insurance purposes, or protecting your business, property and employees, you will need expert advice to assess the risks, and provide the most effective, straightforward solution to your needs. Nationwide are SSAIB accredited, and all systems designed by us are fully certificated to current European and British Standards: PD6662:2010, and BS 8243. Such certification is mandatory if you require Police Response to your system(s). We can provide fully compliant system specifications, which can be forwarded to your Insurers for approval prior to any placement of order or works commencing.
