Back in 1987 Britannia Bearsbys started out life as Bearsby Removals. Removal man by day and office worker by night. Paul Bearsby was working up to 120 hours a week at the beginning of his career. Thirty years later and Paul now employs over twenty full time staff, his company is a member of the internationally recognized Britannia Group and is currently the only moving company in it's local area to hold a membership to the BAR, BSEN Quality Assurance and a Kitemark seal of excellence. We can now move any amount of furniture to anywhere in the world.

Probably the largest move we have ever carried out to France involved five full Pantechnicon loads to the Pitou-Charentes Region. As our client wanted each load to arrive at weekly intervals we were able to use the same staff to deliver each load. After 5 weeks they became such good friends that one of our removals staff has had several holidays with them since! The client literally did take everything including the kitchen sink. One of the five loads included a complete kitchen and 2 bathrooms (including the sinks), together with tractors, trailers, scaffolding, show jumps and even a Victorian lamp post.

Back in 1987, Britannia Bearsbys started out life as - Paul Bearsby, a removals truck and a bedroom wardrobe/office. Over the next 30 years, Paul proceeded to carry out removals in Sevenoaks, the surrounding areas, the county, the country and throughout the rest of Europe. After all those years of hard work, in 2017 Britannia Bearsbys has become the largest and most accredited removals company in the Sevenoaks area. We have over twenty full-time staff, eleven large pantechnicons and our very own 650 containers on-site storage facility.

At Britannia Bearsbys we know that moving to a new office or commercial premises is often a necessary evil which can cause stress and disruption to your business. With our vast experience in handling office & commercial moves we can take as much of that stress away from your move as possible. We provide a comprehensive service to allow businesses to relocate or store their furniture and equipment securely and quickly. With any commercial move our aim is to keep downtime to a minimum. We can work outside of outside of office hours in the evening or even at the weekend should you require it.

Moving overseas can seem like a very daunting prospect, especially when you are moving all the way to the other side of the world. The high volume of Italy removals that we carry out combined with our good local knowledge means that we are well known within the industry as one of the premier removers to this part of Europe. Moving so far away can initially sound quite intimidating, but a European removal to Italy is just as simple and straightforward as a domestic removal to within the UK. The only real difference being the journey time to your new home.

Removals to New Zealand is something that we at Britannia Bearsbys are very fond of. Having lived in New Zealand for nearly three years Robert Bearsby has a very good knowledge of all things Kiwi. Robert flew to New Zealand to work for our overseas agent New Zealand Van Lines to give him experience in how things work on the other side of the world. As a result he has a very good idea of what goes into not only loading the containers in the UK but also exactly what happens to your container when it arrives in New Zealand.

If you have lived in Tunbridge Wells for a number of years you may remember our red removals trucks driving around that had a bear on the side holding a house on its shoulder. Twenty eight years later we have changed shape a little bit. Our vehicles are now white, we are proud members of the Britannia Group and we carry out removals throughout Kent, Europe and the rest of the world. Rest assured, however, in essence we are still the same family run removals company that we have always been. Paul Bearsby is still the first one in the office and the last one to leave every day and he still oversees all of our operations.

Britannia Bearsbys have been carrying out removals to Sweden since we began operation back in 1987. The great thing about moving to Sweden is that there is no need for a container ship. Britannia Bearsbys can move all of your belongings in one of our removals trucks and drive it wherever it needs to go. One of the most recent removals to Sweden that we carried out was in fact a series of deliveries and collections of smaller loads rather than a complete removal, that took our team throughGermany, Denmark, Sweden and even Norway.

Britannia Bearsbys has been working in Tonbridge since we began operations back in 1987. Although we have grown and grown over the years a lot of the work we do is still in and around the Tonbridge area. One of our most notable customers in Tonbridge is Tonbridge School. Every year during the summer the school move a lot of their teachers and housemasters around the town and Britannia Bearsbys are their removals company of choice. After huge difficulties with our purchaser (a Developer!) in relation to completion dates, the guys at Bearsbys were so obliging and helpful that it made a very challenging removal bearable.

In January 2015 Britannia Bearsbys moved to our brand new office space and storage facility in Aylesford, Maidstone. Although we have always covered the whole of Kent, we were only doing a small number of removals in Maidstone and the surrounding areas. Now that we have moved over to a more central location in Kent, we can comfortably reach the different corners of the county in no time at all. We are a family run removals company and we've been in operation since 1987 when Paul Bearsby set out with just one removals truck and a wardrobe as an office.

We are relatively new to removals in Canterbury. Originally we began operation in Tunbridge Wells in 1987 when Paul Bearsby started moving homes in and around the area. Over the years he slowly but surely expanded the business and began to offer removals services to the surrounding areas too. Twenty eight years later and we have moved premises four times. We now have over twenty five full-time staff, our own impressive fleet of removals trucks and in January 2015 we moved to our brand new office space and storage facility in Aylesford, Maidstone.

Moving house was once voted the third most stressful time in a person's life alongside marriage and death. Although we cannot help with the other two, we can certainly try our best to make your moving day as easy as possible. Britannia Bearsbys have been carrying out removals in and around Kings Hill since the area first began its development in 1989. Over 2,000 properties have been built over the years and it's fairly safe to say that we have moved a large number of them. Kings Hill is only ten minutes down the road from the new office space and storage facility that we moved into in January 2015. It has very much become our local area and because of this we have found that we have been carrying out an increasing amount of work for some of the local businesses.
