Experience has taught many Painters & Decorators experts, the easy way to Painting & Decorating like a expert. You hardly ever see a professional painter and decorator painting straight from the tin. The Decorator or Painter uses a paint kettle ( any container with a handle ) which can be cleaned out every night. The Painter strains his paint into the kettle through an old stocking if necessary, so dust and bits of paint skin never spoils the new paint work. When he stops for tea or lunch break, the decorator keeps his brushes from drying by suspending them into the paint by a wire through a hole in the handle or by wrapping them into a plastic bag.

You can normally build single storey, full-width rear extensions to a depth of 4m for detached properties or 3m for other types of houses without planning permission. Single storey extensions are restricted to a height of 4m. If it is within 2m of a boundary the height of the eaves (if it has them), it cannot exceed 3m. If one or both of these of true then you will need to either apply for planning permission or only build a single storey. If a multi-storey extension is allowed the only restriction to the number of storeys is the height of the existing house, which cannot be exceeded.

Beside some rare occurrence of Efflorescence in newly built brick walls, brickwork doesn't generally require attention beyond dusting down with a brush. If it has been splashed or looks dingy it can be cleaned with a weak solution of spirits of salt or you can buy a brick cleaner from a DIY shop or builder's merchants. Brush it on, rise and brush down with a wire brush. Take care; though the acid is weak, it can still burn, so wear goggles and rubber gloves. Brickwork can be painted or rendered if necessary, but London Builders Robuild would rather advise to keep the brickwork, nice and clean.
