Whether you have a restaurant, shop, warehouse or manage a portfolio of properties there will come a time when a pest control issue will arise and you will need to take action. We can help at Bexley Pest Control either by setting up a period service agreement to monitor for pests before an issue arises or, if a pest issue has already arisen, we can take care of things quickly and effectively. We can help with your HACCP programme, non-toxic monitoring, pest prevention and eradication. Electronic Fly Killers (EFKs) now come in modern designs which are economical and suitable for even front of house siting.

At Bexley Pest Control we know a thing or two about those not-so cute & cuddly rats. If you have noticed a scurry of tiny feet, chewed packets, gnawed wood or plastic and droppings shaped like a large grain of rice then the chances are you're right, you almost certainly have a sewer rat. Leaving trails of urine and droppings rats will also introduce diseases, fleas, ticks & lice into your property. A pair of rats will produce about 50,000 droppings and 1.5 gallons of urine which they will spread liberally around your property.

Squirrels look a cute and cuddly animal but in reality they are generally far from this. Robbing birds nests for eggs and young, making nests in garages and your roof they can soon make a disaster of any un-armoured wiring. Rats & mice will gnaw wiring but squirrels will strip them bare for some way causing whole sections of wire to be replaced. Routinely we do not deal with squirrels due to issues with unboarded loft spaces however we are more than happy to visit your property and offer advice if you do have a squirrel problem.

Foxes - generally urban foxes cannot be controlled. If a fox is causing an issue almost the only way to control the issue is by shooting or live trapping the animal. Shooting isn't an option as there are so many restrictions on gun use in urban settings. To trap a wild animal then transport it away from the area is immensely cruel as this will almost certainly cause a long, slow, lingering, death by starvation. The best policy to prevent fox issues is to exclude the fox from your property ie consider fencing or do not allow food to be left in unsecure bins etc.

Some feed on us like fleas & bedbugs, others feed on our food like cockroaches, beetles & maggots. Due to their small size they are able to hide in cracks, under floorboards, behind walls and in ceilings. Bedbugs are often found hiding in electrical sockets and light switches. Once an insect pest has gained entry they can be very hard to remove especially in the case of bedbugs. You should be able to find the common insect pests here although if you can't find an insect pest listed and we can't readily identify it we are able to offer an identification service to our customers.
