Old Bill's Pest Control was formed by Dave after thirty years as a police officer dealing with a different kind of community pest. Originally launched in early 2012, it has grown from strength to strength based upon our quality of service and reputation. Based in the Amersham, South Buckinghamshire, we operate throughout Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, North and West London together with surrounding areas. Old Bill's Pest Control are now the pest control company of choice for several lettings agencies, block management and facilities management companies.
Our initial survey will identify where they are hiding. They tend not to stray too far from their nest and can often be traced running to their nest. The cockroaches and eggs must be eliminated, and this is where Oldbills Pest Control will lay bait. This is another pest which you most definitely do not want in your premises, be it your home or business premises. Cockroaches are well known for the spread of various diseases and pathogens as they forage across different surfaces. This makes them a serious public health pest which needs to be heavily controlled, particularly around food preparation areas.
The grey squirrel is one of our largest and certainly one of our most destructive rodents. As with any rodent, once inside premises, their gnawing can result in damage to electrical installations, cabling or other materials. Squirrels will however, often take this one stage further causing damage to soffit and facia boards and gnawing on structural timbers within the loft void itself. They are also known to gnaw lead flashings on roofs, appearing to enjoy the texture of the soft metal. Their presence on bird feeders and their ability to overcome our attempts to keep them off can provide hours of entertainment and a talking point at parties.
Rats inside premises are normally the result of a structural fault permitting access, or as the result of similar faults in the adjoining premises enabling them to then move through the building as a whole. In certain circumstances these faults or entry points are readily apparent and easily rectified. Probably the most common fault however will lie within the drains system permitting rats to enter unseen from the sewer system below ground level. Where this is the case the customer will normally have experienced ongoing activity in spite of various attempts to control them.
