Founded in 2008 by husband and wife team Charlie and Faye Hancock, Vermtek has grown into a successful UK-wide pest management business serving commercial, public sector and residential customers. From the outset we have concentrated on working collaboratively with our clients, using and developing the latest innovations in our industry. Our commitment to innovation means that we use the latest technology and know-how to treat pests quickly and effectively, minimising our environmental impact and mindful of everyone's health and safety.

We run our trial site from the family farm between Wantage and Faringdon to test new products and ideas before rolling them out across the country. An example of this trial work is the introduction of reusable wasp traps - getting the location and mixture inside just right! Once we had trialled the traps for effectiveness, we were happy to roll them out to customers in Oxfordshire and across the UK.

Vermtek's very beginnings are rooted in the beautiful Cotswold county of Gloucestershire. Founded in 2008 by Charlie Hancock whilst studying at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, the very first "Vermtek Office" was in the garden shed of his student digs! From its micro-business foundation in agricultural pest control, Vermtek has grown into the diverse, agile and environmentally aware company that it is today. We still carry out specialist agricultural pest control to farms throughout Gloucestershire, including our very first customers!

Cirencester is where it all began for Vermtek! And where we still carry out pest control for our very first customers, established in 2008. Both our Managing Director and Operations Manager are graduates of The Royal Agricultural University, an education that formed a solid platform from which Vermtek has grown ever since. The diversity of Cirencester means that we enjoy a very varied customer portfolio. A day for a technician in the Capital of the Cotswolds could include working in partnership with local farmers and landowners to put together crop protection strategies; our next stop might be to a takeaway shop, or to a Land Agent to discuss protecting textiles from house moths in country residences.

The Vermtek head office is based just outside of Swindon. Our self-delivery team provide a discreet, fast-response to customers of all kinds throughout our home town. Our helpdesk is open 24/7 - which is vital for our critical customers, such as the Great Western Hospital. As well as servicing NHS sites such as the GWH, we carry out pest control at shopping centres, schools, nurseries, industrial estates, warehouses, offices and everywhere else you can imagine in between! We have noticed an increase in the number of bedbug cases in Swindon in recent years.

The Royal County of Berkshire keeps our self-delivery team busy year-round! We deliver specialist agricultural pest control services to our organic and conventional-system farming clients, alongside treating more day-to-day infestations such as rats and mice. Our Head Technician, Neal, is particularly familiar with the area, and enjoys working with local customers of all kinds.
