Welcome to Hornsby Ltd, we're a family run company who have offered a trustworthy and professional service since 1983. We specialise in the construction of Roadways, Driveways, Sports Areas, Playgrounds and Car and Lorry Parks. We have also undertaken intensive training in order to become approved contractors for the laying of "TARMAC Master Drive" products. We are able to carry out a wide range of different work on any scale; from large commercial projects to Small Works service for the domestic / private properties.

Hornsby Tarmac and Drainage has built up an outstanding reputation; establishing itself in the heart of Derbyshire in 1983 as Hornsby Plant Hire Ltd. Since then we have been trading successfully for over thirty years throughout Derbyshire, East Staffordshire and North West Leicestershire. Our family run company has built up a wide client base. Mostly acquired through recommendations of past work that was seen to out shine competition. When Mr John Hornsby, owner of Hornsby Plant Hire Ltd decided it was time to (semi) retire in June 2017 his eldest son, Ian Hornsby took over the business in its entirety under the new company name of Hornsby Ltd.

I've stolen these photos from the St Edward's Catholic Academy Twitter feed. We are helping with the exciting project to convert the Catholic Club into a Preschool. It's a school close to our hearts, having been attended by Ian (very many moons ago ) and our children.

Our current project. We completed the patio before Christmas and think it looks stunning. This week we are working on the driveway and fencing at the property. These wrap around projects really do lift the whole house. The weather is rather cold this week, but at least working outside, distancing.

This wrap around patio in porcelain was completed last week. The old patio had become unsafe, having had different levels added over the years. The householder requested the new slabs join up to existing buff edges, bricks and pathways. The householder put down the wooden planks onto the lawn.
