I learned the decorating trade whilst working with my dad Alan Waring, and we set up our business together, aptly calling it 'Alan Waring & Daughter'. My dad supported me through college whilst I did my City and Guilds for three years whilst he built up our business. When I qualified, we worked together from our home in Bolton. That was over 20 years ago now, and the company continues to serve homes in and around Darwen, Blackburn and all around Greater Manchester and Lancashire. Regrettably, the company now consists of just myself as my dad has now sadly passed away.
