Surrounding ourselves with the right talent has been key to our success. Building your perfect outdoor space should be an enjoyable experience and with the right professionals, this is what we focus on. Excellent quality, professionally managed, and as we provide quotations for every element and not estimates, always on budget. Following joining the family business in 1991, Richard studied horticulture at Askham Bryan College, and then in his mid-twenties studied Garden design at Bishop Burton College to degree level gaining best student and a Silver Gilt medal at the Harrogate spring flower show whilst studying.
At the consultation stage, for the price of a cup of tea we discuss just what you are looking for, even if you are unsure what that may be. We can help as we have a host of images and ideas to show different styles, material types, and suggestions that will help narrow down a way forward for your garden. Here we can discuss how we structure our design and build services. Our company is structured around you, so whether you are looking for a simple driveway or complete re-design, we are here to provide professional advice and practical know-how on how to get there.
Keeping your garden in great shape is a skill, and one we are adept with. Our dedicated maintenance team is available for regular or one-off visits to help you make the best of your garden. If all you want is grass cutting, no problem. But if what you really want is someone to take care of tending to your prize roses, tying up your peonies, training your Jasmine and clipping your Taxus, fear not. We definitely know those finer details of when to, how-to, and why to, so that your investment is looked after.
Although in a rural location, this was a modern conversion of a barn in Aughton near Pocklington and the garden needed to reflect the internal space of the house and outbuildings. We used porcelain paving and rendered walling to create an outdoor dining area with planting to provide colour and texture. This saw our first cast concrete tabletop which worked well as it was purpose made for the project. Garden lighting also helps the feel of this garden of an evening. A free initial meet up so you can pick our brains.
The design process is an important part of any purpose-led project. Following a consultation, we create a client brief that pinpoints the feel, style, and practical aspects of your future garden. We also detail a design quotation for this stage of the project with fixed costs so that there are no surprises. A free initial meet up so you can pick our brains. With over 30 years experience designing and building gardens, we understand what is possible, and perhaps what is not. We are professional garden designers who win awards for our work (even at the student stage).
We are looking for a range of roles here, from labourers to team leaders. This would be an 'on the books' position with good rates of pay plus bonuses and a profit share option. We are looking for people who want to be part of a growing team of landscapers dedicated to building first class gardens throughout Yorkshire.
So pleased to have been awarded this by Marshall’s last night. Very proud of our whole staff team! https://t.co/IJJLzWPO6o
You don't need a huge garden to be able to create a lovely useable space to enjoy. We are lucky enough to get the go-ahead for this one later in the year, which we are all very much looking forward to! For your own piece of garden heaven, get in touch.www.astekyork.c o.uk

For us, it's the detail of a project that really gets us passionate about creating something special. That and having great clients that we work with that allow us to do just that. Wishing all our past and future clients a great Christmas & New Year, without you guys, we couldn't do what we love.
A recent proposal for a client in Melbourne, York, showing how the garden could be developed to make the most of the space available. If you're thinking of making some changes to your garden, large or small, get in touch and we can start planning for next Summer.www.astekyork.c o.uk
