We have been providing a hard and soft landscaping service throughout Bucks, Berks and Oxon since 1999. Our portfolio will show you some of the work that we've undertaken over the years and our customers comments can be found on the testimonials page.
Acorn Landscaping is a small well established company of landscape gardeners specialising in all aspects of soft and hard landscaping. Working closely with customers from both the private and commercial sectors we strive to achieve the quality end product that our clients require. Whatever your landscape gardening requirements; be it a feature patio, decking, paving, planting, seeded grass, turf or fencing to surround it all, you can rest assured that Acorn Landscaping will provide you with a service and end product second to none.
The ground preparation is identical regardless of whether you decide to have a seeded lawn or a turfed lawn. Turfed lawns are more expensive because of the cost involved in cultivating and harvesting the turves.
There are a myriad of hard landscaping materials that can be used to construct paving and patios. Which type to use will depend upon the design of your garden and available budget. Paving slabs of various finishes and colours, natural stone paving, block paving, cobbles, shingle, gravel and slate are just a small selection of the available materials. Prices for material and labour can vary dramatically and some are very expensive but incorporated in the right design can create startling and dramatic effects.
Fencing doesn't have to be erected from the traditional featheredge, lap panels. Willow, hazel or even bamboo can create a good screen but nothing provides the security of a hand built fence. Budget is often the deciding factor where fencing is concerned however, if you're planning to remain in the property for several years, the erection of a quality fence can, not only improve security, but also be a good investment.
The choice of soft landscaping is varied and diverse, the cottage garden being just one style which can be deployed into an area of a large garden or a small town or cottage garden. The cottage garden is traditionally "British" and tends to be less formal in it's design housing a variety of typically English forna and flora. Whatever style of garden you choose rest asssured that Acorn Landscaping will advise you on what plants are best suited to your soil and will work with you to produce a garden that will mature.
There are many types of bricks that can be used to create retaining walls and although we've called this page brickwork you are not limited to bricks themselves in their diverse range of styles and colours which include yellow and black, as well as the traditional red Fletton Brick. Railway sleepers and half-rounded timbers perform equally as well as bricks particularly when used as a low retaining wall for a flower bed. Sleepers can not only provide a rustic wall they also double as a seating area.
Acorn Landscaping have gained many maintenance contracts within the business and private sector. Our maintenance programmes include lawn mowing, lawn treatment, weeding, hedge trimming, tree pruning and other aspects of tree surgery. We're happy to work alongside major facilities management companies to improve and enhance the existing landscaping on business premises. Our managed sites are currently spread from Hounslow in the east through High Wycombe to Oxford in the west. If required, we are also able to include snow clearance and gritting into our remit for business and commercial premises.
Decking has been brought to the forefront of gardening technology by some very well known television programmes but even though it has become a common addition to many gardens. Wood is a warm addition to any garden be it live trees, decking, half-round timber, lattice panel screens or as a retaining wall for a raised bed. As you can see in our Job Profiles section, decking can be used in a variety of ways. At low level on flat ground it's an alternative to a paved or brick patio and in sloping gardens it can be used to create a levelled seating area with or without balustrade.
