Independent Kitchen Designer

I am a completely independent kitchen designer - I do not work for any kitchen supplier, or sell any kitchen products or services. This means I can offer frank and honest advice - and let you know what works.

After looking over your information I will make an assessment of the feasibility and completeness of the kitchen design. I will summarise this in a report to you - suggesting points you may need to consider before making your purchase.

Namely, your kitchen installation has to comply with "Part P" of the current Building Regulations. I'm no Electrician - but in a nutshell your kitchen electrical system needs to be protected by R.C.D devices to stop you from electrocuting yourself. Any electrical works carried out during your kitchen installation have to be completed by a "competent" person, and certified upon completion. These works are then "notified" to the electricians certifying body - and you will receive a certificate to say the has been completed and approved.

This basic information will allow me to make a start on your design - I will contact you if I need to clarify anything else. All design works will be carried out away from your home and, depending upon current commitments, should be completed within 7 days. I will design your kitchen utilising standard European Kitchen Cabinet sizes - this will allow you to forward your Kitchen Design Pack to any kitchen retailer in the UK or Europe to obtain quotations. All measurements shown will be Metric - the days of Kitchen retailers working with old Imperial sizes are long gone.

I am not able, currently, to make visits to clients houses to measure up and discuss layouts. I will design your new kitchen, and send you all the information you require. to buy online with confidence. I am unable, at present, to make the multiple visits to clients houses to meet, and manage, the numerous trades associated with fitting your kitchen.
