The benefits of choosing a garden designer is that we are trained to view gardens differently. If you ask a builder to build you a patio they will build it where you tell them in whatever stone you choose. If you ask a garden designer to build you a patio they will take into account its location, size, proportions, materials, style and, once satisfied that the patio is being built in the right location in a colour sympathetic with the rest of the house/garden, they will then go ahead and build you a patio.

A large proportion of my time is taken up looking after and maintaining peoples gardens. Often these are clients that have come to me either initially for a design, a colourful border or simply want some help in their busy schedules. I have all top of the range petrol powered Stihl equipment from blowers, hedge trimmers and strimmers to Honda lawn mowers. Maintenance is offered on a fortnightly, monthly or seasonal basis. There is a minimum charge of £66 for the first 3 hours then £22 per hour thereafter.

I love combining colours, textures, shapes and sizes and plant generously to give a long period of interest. The plants I use tend to be different from the ones you will find in most garden centres which will make your garden unique and more interesting, providing a rich variety of perennials and shrubs. My own garden combines architectural plants with only yellow flowering perennials. You will find a mixture of ferns, hostas, polygonatum and grasses in with rudbeckia, heleniums, trollius, echinacea and iris.
