You'll be glad to know that our carpets are made to last and once laid, along with appropriate care and cleaning, they should give you many years of reliable service. It is vital to regularly vacuum your carpet as it gets rid of dirt that collects in the tufts or loops, and also helps retain the original colour and texture. Ideally, you should vacuum your carpet as soon as it is laid. A newly laid carpet can often look patchy as the tufts have been compressed in different directions. Using either a cylindrical brush action or power brush attachment to vacuum your twist pile carpet will help restore the tufts to an upright position, and also to give them a uniform appearance.

All our laminates on display are easy to install. None of the Laminate flooring require glue, as all have the tongue and groove interlocking system. However, we do offer a professional fitting service, if required. Laminate flooring is tremedously durable. Some of the laminates are scratch resistant. There are various laminates that are an imitation of solid/engineered wood. However, unlike wood, laminate flooring doesn't dent easily nor does it scratch easily. There is a proctective layer on laminate flooring, which enhance the durability within the home and in commercial areas.

Carpets can come in one of three backings; Felt-backed, Hessian/Jute, Woven and Gel/Waffle backing. Felt -back is now becoming extremley common within carpets. It acts as a replacement for underlay, therefore giving the customer an option whether to install/purchase underlay or lay the carpet with the backing straight on to the floor. Usually felt-backed carpets are made from polypropylene, however there are now some 80/20 wool twists which are now available in this types of backing. Ultimately felt-backing would be considered as the replacement of foam backed carpet.

Once you have chosen your vinyl flooring, the fitter will assess the best possible method of installing the flooring. Hence according to the condition of the sub-floor and the area where the vinyl is to be fitted. The vinyl can be installed using various methods, such as: loose lay, spray glue, taped, siliconed etc. However if a specific method is required for installation this can be asked on arranging the fitting date.
