Jordan's Wood Flooring directly imports engineered wood flooring of the very highest quality. Laminate flooring continues to represent excellent value for money to homeowners and businesses alike. Originally located just a few doors down the road where we now have our bespoke finishing factory, the showroom was moved into the pub on the corner of Summerstown where it was decided to keep the look and feel of the original premises.

In response to the rapid growth of wood floor-coverings market, Lou Collins spotted the opportunity and decided to open his first store in a small premises in Earlsfield, South West London.

Engineered wood flooring / Multi-ply wood flooring is the best-selling type of wood flooring all over the world today and in case you didn't know it, it is made of real wood! Engineered wood flooring is easy to install and maintain. It can be fitted with glue-down and nail-down techniques, but the easiest and most common is the floating method. Floating installation makes the repair and replacement of boards an easy task, but a good quality underlay is required. It can be installed over under floor heating, is recommended for people who suffer from allergies or asthma and it is suitable for families who have children or pets.

Always ensure that all wet work is complete and dry before delivery. Always try to store the wood in the area where the flooring will be installed as this will allow for perfect acclimatisation. Do not store in a damp environment, next to radiators, in any drafts or direct sunlight as these situations will affect acclimatising.

Laminate flooring is a popular innovative alternative to solid wood flooring, which was introduced to the public in 1977 by Pergo. Even though it appears to be wood, it is not made of timber or wood veneers, though it can be manufactured to look like it. In fact, laminate flooring can be made to have the appearance of nearly anything, depending on your own preferences. Laminate flooring is comprised of four different layers, fused together under high pressure to create a beautiful floor which is resistant to scratches, fading, stains and wear from heavy foot traffic, is easy to clean and maintain and can be bought at a more affordable price compared to a real wood floor.
