We treat every product with the individual attention our clients have grown to expect. We are happy to plan alongside architects, landscape designers, agents and managers to ensure our fencing is an enhancement to their landscape. Our service is courteous and attentive from the first call to final installation or delivery. Clients include the National Trust properties at Stowe, Charlecote Park, Lyveden New Bield, Cliveden, Cannons Ashby and Dunham Massey; English Heritage's Kenilworth, Longtown and Stokesay Castles, Arthur's Stone and Hailes Abbey; local authorities, museums, estates and private houses both large and small.
Our fencing comes as either Rustic or Heartwood. Rustic has not been stripped of bark and sapwood. It has a chunkier feel and is generally larger in profile. Rustic posts have the sapwood removed from the portion that will be below ground. The bark may have come off during the harvesting/manufacturing processes and if still on will probably come off over time anyway leaving the smooth sapwood surface. Our posts are generally quarter trees. They are split with wedges then squared up with froes and side axes.
We have advised on appropriate fencing for historical accuracy on a number of productions, most recently the Lloyds Bank 250 advert, produced by Rogue Films. Advice to architects on suitability of products for a large range of issues, from traditional cleft products for building restoration, to the pragmatics of cleft oak on modern structures with input into design.
Beautiful day at Charlecote Park repairing the fence. It's almost normal now, this state of flooding. #Charlecote #cleftfence #floods #Charlecoteflood #Charlecotefence
