At Alan S. Dickson Electrical Contractors Limited we carry out small, medium and large scale installation works within domestic, commercial and industrial premises. As we have accreditation with SAFEcontractor, ContractorPlus, as well as being enrolled in The National Inspection Council Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) all our works are completed the highest standard, while keeping in line with the stipulated health and safety requirements. All works undertaken are done according to BS 7671:2008 incorporating amendment 3:2015.
We can supply, wire and install door entry and access control systems within commercial and residential properties as required. Depending on your requirements we can install a various types of systems including, audio only and audio/video. In addition to installing these systems we can only provide planned maintenance visits on existing systems which are already in place. Access control systems should be maintained once a year, however some clients prefer their systems to be checked 6 monthly. Depending on how busy a property is with regards to access and egress, additional visits may be advised.
Not only can we design, install and commission fire alarm detection systems to any required categories within properties, we also carry out planned weekly, quarterly, 6 monthly and annual maintenance visits to ensure all systems fully comply with BS 5839. Upon undertaking any new works or planned maintenance visits we will provide the associated and relevant certification required. In the Government guide books on the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, it strongly recommends that a fire alarm detection system should be maintained to BS5839-1 or 6 and also that it should have maintenance visits as a minimum of every six months or more frequently if the site is classed as a high risk property.
